BMC issues a recall notice for its Kaius model due to fork failures
The Swiss brand is issuing a voluntary recall for its sports gravel bike Kaius 01 after detecting some cases of failure in the fork steerer tube that equips this model.

Competition gravel bike BMC Kaius called in for review by the brand
It is not common, with current production standards, for problems to occur in bikes that require brands to review or withdraw a product. However, this time it has happened to BMC, which has detected a small number of cases in which the fork steerer tube has separated from it. A problem that, despite being limited cases, is serious enough for the Swiss brand to have called for the review of this model.

In any case, the brand defends itself by stating that it is not a design problem and that the Kaius complies with established production standards but has occurred in a small number of bikes and under certain circumstances of use, so BMC has chosen to call for a voluntary review and replace the affected forks.
A problem that has been detected in the loose frame kit of the Kaius 01 model as well as in the Kaius 01 Three and Kaius 01 LTD builds.

Affected users should take the bike to the nearest BMC distributor who will be responsible for inspecting the fork to check if it is among those affected. If it is one of the problematic ones, they will take care of replacing the fork, assuming all expenses as quickly as possible.
