BBB enters the electric inflation market with the BarBank, a portable pump with 120 PSI
The Dutch company BBB Cycling expands its accessory catalog with a product that directly targets one of the clearest market trends, the electrification of classic tools. The new BarBank is a compact electric pump that aims to replace manual inflation with an automated system capable of providing precise pressure in any situation.

From a technical standpoint, this pump features a built-in motor capable of generating up to 8.25 bar or 120 PSI, a figure sufficient to cover everything from high-pressure road configurations to large-volume tires in MTB. This is relevant because it places the BarBank in a real range of versatile use, avoiding limitations to specific disciplines as seen with some more basic electric inflators.
The device incorporates a LCD interface that displays both battery level and pressure in real-time, allowing work in either bars or PSI. Control is achieved through simple adjustment buttons, making it easy to fine-tune the target pressure with precision.

One of the key design points is the total compatibility without adapters. The universal head allows direct work with Presta, Schrader, and Dunlop valves, in addition to the brand's proprietary CoreCap system. This detail reduces time and simplifies use on the road, which is especially relevant in quick repair situations.
The BarBank also introduces preconfigured modes according to discipline, optimized for different tire volumes. On the road, it can inflate a 700x28 tire up to 5 bar, on gravel a 700x40 up to 3 bar, and in MTB a 29x2.35 up to 2 bar. Each of these modes allows for up to three complete inflations on a single charge, providing a clear reference for its actual autonomy in use.
Beyond the electronics, the product is clearly designed for use on the road. The declared weight of 160 grams and dimensions of 70 x 60 x 32 mm allow it to be easily transported in a jersey pocket or saddle bag, positioning it as a direct alternative to CO₂ cartridges or traditional mini pumps. The inclusion of a flexible hose adds compatibility with more delicate valves, such as those of TPU tubes, and facilitates access in complicated setups.

Another practical element is the integrated LED flashlight. It may seem like a minor detail, but it addresses a real need in urban and long-distance cycling, where repairs in low-light conditions are common. The lighting allows for locating the valve and checking the tire's condition without relying on external sources.
Regarding the battery, the system operates with a 7.4 V cell and 600 mAh, with fast charging via USB-C capable of completing the cycle in 30 minutes. This point reinforces its practical focus, as it reduces waiting times and makes it easier to keep it ready for use with quick recharges before heading out.
Overall, the BarBank reflects how the accessory segment is evolving towards more automated and precise solutions. The combination of controlled pressure, real portability, and universal compatibility positions it as a sensible tool for both road and gravel as well as MTB, especially in a context where fine-tuning pressures is increasingly crucial for performance.
