The world's smartest mini pump, this is how the BBB components brand presents this mini pump that truly lives up to its name due to its minimum size which, however, does not detract from its features. An ingenious design that earned it one of the prestigious Red Dot Awards in 2023.

Despite the incorporation of tubeless or the use of much more resistant TPU chambers, punctures are still the most common breakdown for cyclists and, apart from what we need to repair it, we need a tool to refill the wheels with air, quickly and being able to reach the necessary pressure.

Luckily, bicycle pumps have been reducing their size since those times when long inflators had to be placed along the frame tube. Nowadays, in addition to mini pumps of very small size like the Silca Gravelero that combines inflation capacity with a good volume per pump, other solutions have emerged, such as mini electric compressors that promise to make this arduous task easier.

And if it's about getting an inflation method of the smallest possible size that is still efficient, BBB has undoubtedly approached the limit with the launch of the BBB Doubleshot mini pump of only 120 mm in length, which even allows it to be stored in some saddle bags along with the multi-tool and the spare chamber. A reduced size that, in addition, makes carrying it not a burden thanks to its scant 83 g.

To apply the necessary air, the BBB Doubleshot mini pump has two plungers that are separated in the storage position. When using it, we screw one onto the other which doubles the length of it in addition to the action of the two plungers that continue to act independently with each pump.

A capacity that allows, according to BBB data, this Doubleshot mini pump can apply up to 8 bar of pressure thanks also to its narrow plunger design although this does not mean a small volume of air with each pump. The sum of the action of both plungers is capable of applying 35 cc of air with each actuation so we will not have to eternalize with the inflation if we use large balloon tires.

The only drawback that can be put to the minimalist design of this BBB Doubleshot mini pump is that its reduced size does not allow for an adaptable head, being this only suitable for Presta type valves.
