The Swiss Alessandra Keller, two-time winner of the Overall in the World Cup, has successfully undergone surgery on her right cruciate ligament and has begun her recovery.
Alessandra Keller begins her rehabilitation
The Thomus Maxon team has reported that Alessandra Keller underwent surgery on Tuesday, October 22 for her right cruciate ligament. An injury that the Swiss cyclist had been carrying since she fell during a training session at the 2018 Lenzerheide World Championships, but which did not prevent her from winning the under-23 gold medal just a few days later.

Since then, Keller has been treating this injury conservatively and waited for this Olympic cycle to end in Paris to undergo surgery and start a new one until Los Angeles 2028. The operation has been successful and 3 days later she has already started her rehabilitation.

Keller's next major goal will be the World Championships in Crans Montana, Switzerland, which will take place in September 2025. "I have enough time and therefore no pressure. I want to be back on my bike by the end of January 2025 and start my preseason. My big goal for 2025 is the World Championship at home in Valais. There is still plenty of time until September."
