Air Trak and Fast Trak: Specialized renews its XC tires for 2025

Specialized has renewed its range of Cross-Country tires with the new Air Trak and Fast Trak. Two models that the brand presents as the fastest, lightest, and most durable they have ever made. In addition, it has simplified its XC tire offering to maximize performance and versatility. Two models, two different tread patterns, and two casing options.

Specialized Air Trak: maximum speed on compact terrain

The Air Trak is presented as a tire specifically designed to roll fast on hard surfaces. Its tread, inherited and improved from the Renegade, incorporates a dual GRIPTON T5/T7 compound that offers less rolling resistance in the center and more grip in the corners. Thanks to its updated design with strategically located and sized knobs, the Air Trak manages to be 60 grams lighter than its predecessor, reaching a final weight of only 605 grams (in 29 x 2.35, Flex Lite).

The Fast Trak receives an update in its tread pattern, now with Block-In-Block side knobs that provide a more predictable ride on varied terrains. The compact central tread, with GRIPTON T5 compound, minimizes rolling resistance without sacrificing grip. Also available in two casing options (Flex Lite and Grid Lite), the Fast Trak adapts perfectly to the requirements of competitive XC.
