Would you spend more than 1,000€ to save 81g? The Campagnolo Super Record 13 ULTRA takes the luxury of performance to the extreme
Campagnolo has presented ULTRA, the latest evolution of its flagship group Super Record 13, an update that takes the pursuit of excellence one step further. From Vicenza comes a true masterpiece of Italian mechatronics and design, with new components made of carbon, titanium, and ceramic that promise to redefine the limits of performance.
ULTRA is the most exclusive upgrade of the Campagnolo Super Record 13
The new ULTRA chainring is the heart of the upgrade. Its carbon fiber structure offers absolute rigidity and extreme lightness, ensuring direct and constant power transmission. This base is associated with teeth machined in 7075 aluminum, an aerospace alloy subjected to a hard oxide heat treatment that increases its durability against the most demanding loads.
Each production phase is controlled with millimeter precision: composite stabilization is carried out under exact temperature and pressure conditions, ensuring the perfect orientation of the carbon fibers. The result is a chainring that stands out not only for its performance but also for its minimalist aesthetics and the artisanal seal of Campagnolo.

Available in two versions:
- 50T (78 g) - 34 g lighter than the previous Super Record.
- 52T (102 g) - 28 g lighter than the standard version.
The new ULTRA cassette takes lightness to another level thanks to its aerospace-grade titanium construction, machined from a solid block. Its two-tone finish - black chrome and natural titanium - with laser-engraved graphics reinforces the distinctive aesthetics of the Italian brand.
Available versions:
- 10-33T: 215 g (30 g lighter).
- 11-36T: 238 g (44 g lighter).
The third element of this evolution is the new bottom bracket with ceramic bearings. It uses silicon nitride balls manufactured to aerospace standards, combined with a high-performance resin cage and double sealing to protect against dirt and moisture.
The result: less friction, greater durability, and smoother pedaling, all in just 49 grams (BSA version).
Exclusivity, performance, and true luxury price in the same equation
Overall, the Super Record 13 ULTRA saves a total of 81 grams compared to the original group. Its price also reflects the "sports luxury" philosophy that the Italian brand has adopted in recent years: the complete version costs around 1,114 euros, or about 14 euros for each gram saved.
It seems that Campagnolo will offer each ULTRA component separately as well. Campagnolo will also allow the purchase of each component individually. The ULTRA ceramic bearings BB will have a price of 164 euros, compared to the 50 euros of the standard steel replacement. The new ULTRA chainring, available in 50 or 52 teeth versions, will have a price of 330 euros (150 euros in the conventional version) or 430 euros if the complete set of chainrings is purchased, compared to the 250 euros of the standard aluminum set. The ULTRA titanium cassettes reach 620 euros, only available in 10-33T and 11-36T developments, compared to the 358 euros of the Super Record 13 steel cassette.
Beyond the logic of weight, ULTRA represents the connection between tradition, technology, and luxury. Campagnolo does not seek to convince with numbers but to offer an experience that combines aesthetic pleasure with mechanical excellence.
As in its best times, the Campagnolo name continues to evoke something more than performance: a way of understanding cycling as art.
