We tested the Syncros Handlebar Bag: space, stability, and gravel aesthetics
The Syncros Handlebar Bag is a perfect option for those who want to complement their bikepacking setup on multi-day trips or routes, as well as for those looking for some extra storage on long day rides. After spending some time riding with it, we can tell you that it is a very well-designed accessory that works wonderfully.
Syncros Handlebar Bag: easy to install, durable, and with the perfect size
The first thing we liked was how easy it is to mount. The system has 2 pieces: the bag itself and the handlebar attachment system: The latter has two reinforced velcro straps to attach to the handlebar and a third stabilizing strap that attaches to the steerer tube and prevents the bag from swinging. During our rides, even on technical sections or bumpy descents, it did not move at any time.

The arrangement of the straps is very well designed and does not interfere with the cables, which is especially appreciated on gravel bikes with external wiring.
With a capacity of 5.8 liters, this bag offers the ideal space to carry a waterproof jacket, some food, tools, and even a second soft bottle or a dry bag with spare clothes. It is not the largest on the market, but it does not intend to be. Syncros seems to have opted for a middle ground between volume and aesthetics, and the balance is very good.
The roll-top closure with buckles allows you to adjust the volume effectively. If you are going lighter, you can roll the bag more to make it more compact. If you need to fill it to the maximum, it has enough expansion margin.
The main material is durable and water-repellent treated. It is not 100% waterproof, but it withstands light rain or splashed mud without any problem. The matte finish and reflective details give it a modern touch, perfectly integrated with the current gravel style. There are no large logos or flashy colors: a discreet bag that visually fits any bike.
Additionally, it includes a small air valve to facilitate "vacuum" closure if you are going to load it to the maximum, a detail that is appreciated.
The Syncros Handlebar Bag is a well-thought-out handlebar bag, especially useful for one or multi-day gravel routes. It is easy to install, comfortable to use, and with more than enough capacity for self-sufficient outings without the need to carry a backpack.
Its sober design, robust materials, and roll-top closure system make it one of our favorites if you are looking for something that works without attracting too much attention.
