This duck costs 600€, it cannot be bought and is a symbol of cyclocross
Although Superprestigio and the World Cup are the circuits that normally attract the most attention from cyclocross fans, the resin duck that serves as the image of the X2O swimwear brand and is received by the winners of each race will once again become an object of desire. A trophy that is exclusively contested in Belgian territory, it is held in special affection by the public of that country and boasts some prestigious events such as the GP Sven Nys in Baal or the Koppenbergcross which kicks off the competition on October 1st.

The X2O Trophy starts this Saturday with the Koppenbergcross
A large yellow rubber duck, a curious trophy for the winner of a race that has nevertheless become a coveted prize for the best cyclocross riders on the international scene, even though the X20 Trophy is considered the third most important after the World Cup and Superprestigio.
A huge rubber duck that the organization has brought back this year after the little success of the plush ducks that replaced it, and that many fans of the mud discipline inquire about. Unfortunately for them, this is not available in X2O's merchandise, although we can get plush toys or the curious duck hats that we can see among the audience at these trophy races.

Focusing on the sports aspect, it is worth mentioning that the X2O Trophy starts on November 1st with the aforementioned Koppenbergcross and will consist of 8 races, running until February 15th when the season will close with the Brussels Trophy. This championship has an interesting general classification as it is not defined by a points system based on the position in each race, but rather a time classification as if it were a stage race, with the exception that the maximum time loss is 5 minutes, a penalty that is also applied in case of not finishing the race or not participating in any of the races.
The Koppenbergcross, which opens the X2O Trophy this Saturday, has its finish line at the top of this famous wall, one of the most renowned in the Tour of Flanders, which cyclists must face on each lap. The rest of the course is raced on the hillside where the wall is located, with sections at mid-slope dominating the terrain where mud is usually a key feature.

This Saturday's race will feature a fantastic lineup, starting with Michael Vanthourenhout who has been unbeatable in the early season after winning the first two Superprestigio races. Names like Toon Aerts, Niels Vandepute, Jordan Wyseure, Pim Ronhaar, or Joris Nieuwenhuis will try to challenge him, along with Felipe Orts, who have shown great form at the start of the campaign.
However, all eyes are on the debut of Thibau Nys, who is eager to show the level he truly possesses and has recently posted videos of his training on social media where he can be seen riding at an impressive pace.
