The UCI expands its Gravel Worrld Series by increasing the calendar to 45 events
The growth of gravel cycling is unstoppable, and the UCI has decided to make the most of this golden goose by expanding its Gravel World Series race circuit. On one hand, these events will receive financial support from a new sponsor, the tire company Panaracer, which will sponsor the UCI Gravel World Series through its GravelKing brand that identifies its range of tires for this discipline.

14 more events added to the UCI Gravel World Series calendar in 2026
45 events spread across 32 countries will be the scope of the 2026 edition of the UCI Gravel World Series, representing a new boost from the highest cycling authority to this discipline, which has transitioned from a passing trend that many predicted when it emerged to a fully established modality that attracts thousands of enthusiasts.
Gravel lovers will have the opportunity to participate in official events around the world and aspire to secure one of the coveted spots to compete in the World Championship of this discipline.

The UCI Gravel World Series has seen the removal of a couple of events that were part of the calendar in the recently concluded season. The list now includes no less than 14 events, with some as attractive as the Vuelta Altas Cumbres, an MTB event held in Argentina that will now feature a gravel option; the OG Classique in Canada; or events in atypical locations such as the Baltic republic of Latvia.
The 2026 calendar has already begun, despite being in the final part of 2025, with 4 events already held that have distributed the first spots for the upcoming World Championship, which will take place in Nannup, in western Australia, and will host one of the UCI Gravel World Series events in mid-May, serving as a trial for the world championship that will occur on the weekend of October 10 and 11, 2026.

Once again, Spain takes center stage in the UCI Gravel World Series, where 2 of the events of this competition will be held. The first, on February 22, is the Castellón Gravel Race, with the town of Llucena as the nerve center. The other, a classic of the gravel world circuit, could only be the Sea Otter Europe Girona, set against the backdrop of the well-known cycling fair and the Girona territory, one of the gravel paradises in Spain. This race will take place on September 19, 2026, practically as a prelude to the World Championship. Additionally, there is a third event, the 114 Gravel Race, which takes place between Spain and Portugal, starting in Elvas and concluding in Badajoz. This last event will take place on March 28.
