The SCOTT Cala Bandida 2026 is presented with the signing of Alberto Barroso
The SCOTT Cala Bandida has officially presented its project for the 2026 season, a year that the team begins with the signing of Alberto Barroso and approaches the calendar with renewed ambition after the restructuring initiated last season. The structure maintains the goal of consolidating itself as one of the national references in both XCM and gravel.

SCOTT Cala Bandida maintains its core and adds Alberto Barroso for the 2026 season
The main novelty of the team for 2026 is the signing of Alberto Barroso, an addition that represents a clear commitment to the future within the sports project. Barroso arrives at SCOTT Cala Bandida after competing at the highest international level in the XCO World Cup, where he has shown constant progression, talent, and competitive character. With this move, the rider makes the leap to XCM, a challenge he faces with full confidence and with his focus entirely on this new stage of his career.

Along with the addition of Barroso, the team maintains the core from last season, with the continuity of José Mari Sánchez and Enrique Morcillo, who will continue to be committed to the project after the work done in 2025. The team highlights the good internal atmosphere and the accumulated learning during the last year as key factors to reinforce the identity of an increasingly solid group.
In competitive terms, SCOTT Cala Bandida will again focus a good part of its calendar on some of the most prominent stage races in the national scene, such as the SCOTT Mediterranean Epic MTB, the Andalucía Bike Race by Garmin, or the Far West SCOTT. In addition, the team keeps in sight the major international goal of the Cape Epic.

The gravel project will continue to grow in parallel in 2026, combining the competitive aspect with a more adventurous vision of the discipline. The team will be present in both demanding races on the calendar and bikepacking events, betting on challenges linked to exploration, self-sufficiency, and adventure, such as Badlands or Kilómetro Cero.
The official presentation of the team was held entirely at the Cala Bandida restaurant (Jávea, Alicante), the main sponsor of the project, in a natural setting by the sea that reflects the team's philosophy: high performance without giving up the enjoyment of cycling. With a consolidated block, a promising signing, and a clear sports ambition, SCOTT Cala Bandida faces the 2026 season with the determination to continue growing and leaving a mark in every race.
