The new Orbea FOX Factory Racing has just been officially presented. A radical change is confirmed, anticipating a new stage for the team. Orbea takes full control of the team and new key signings arrive, such as Danish Simon Andreassen and Australian Bec Henderson.

The metamorphosis of the Orbea FOX Factory Racing for 2025

The Orbea Fox Factory Team is presented in 2025 with a renewed structure in which Orbea will assume total control of team management. In line with this new approach, the brand has opened a Service Course at its headquarters in the Basque Country, to offer excellent mechanical service that ensures that technical adjustments and developments are always up to the competitive needs of the elite.

The structure also incorporates specific profiles for product development.

New signings for a stronger team

Regarding the roster, the Orbea FOX Factory Racing has been reinforced with three new high-level signings:

At just 27 years old, Danish Simon Andreassen joins the team as the current XCM World Champion after his victory last September in Snowshoe. In 2024, he had one of the best seasons of his career, stepping onto the podium of the XCO World Cup on several occasions and becoming European Short Track Champion. His versatility and performance capacity in different disciplines make Andreassen one of the great bets of Orbea FOX Factory Racing for its new stage.

Australian Bec Henderson, 33 years old, brings to the team an enviable trajectory highlighted by her 4 victories in the XCO/XCC World Cup, continental victories, or her 19 national titles. Despite facing problems that only came to light at the end of the 2024 season, Henderson showed that her level remains top-notch. Her determination and experience will be key to keeping Orbea FOX Factory Racing at the top of this discipline.

The team's communication facet

The team will continue to exploit one of its most outstanding values in recent years: communication. To do this, it will seek to continue caring for and expanding the connection with cycling fans. Ibon Zugasti, a recognized figure for his ability to tell stories from within cycling, will continue to inspire the cycling community with his challenges and adventures.

The Orbea Fox Factory Team will face an international calendar that includes the XCO World Cup and other elite competitions, with the mission of demonstrating the synergy between talent, technology, and collective effort.

“The 2025 season marks a before and after for our team. We want to inspire those who share our passion for MTB” pointed out Iñaki Ucin, Sports Marketing Manager at Orbea.

The Orbea Oiz and Alma of the team for 2025

The team will continue to rely on the Oiz and Alma bicycle models, designed to face the most demanding circuits. And in 2025, with the support of leading brands such as Fox, Shimano, Fizik, Maxxis, Hiru, and more, the Orbea Fox Factory Team will have cutting-edge tools to compete at the highest level.
