The detailed look at the orange clockwork with which Van der Poel will make cyclocross history
Mathieu van der Poel debuts a new bike for the Cyclocross World Championship in Hulst. The Dutchman faces the most important event of the winter with the Canyon Inflite CF SLX, which he has competed with throughout the season, but this time with a completely orange aesthetic and details in the colors of the national flag on the fork and the top of the rear triangle.
Van der Poel's bike to make cyclocross history
Next Sunday, Mathieu van der Poel could become the cyclist with the most Cyclocross World Championship titles, surpassing the legendary Eric de Vlaeminck. He will achieve this if he wins his eighth World Championship this weekend, which would only reaffirm what everyone already says: that he is the best cyclocross rider in history.
The base is the Canyon Inflite CF SLX with the frame completely painted in orange and with flag details on the fork and rear triangle.
Despite not being present in the current flag of the Netherlands, orange has been a symbol of the country since the 16th century when it appeared on the national banner. Although the current flag is red, white, and blue, the top stripe was originally orange.
