In any case, we know that cyclocross events are unpredictable, and many alternatives can arise in such an intense discipline where any mistake or miscalculation can ruin the result.
After a rather discreet start to the season, Laurens Sweck surprised with his good performance in Tabor. Meanwhile, Joris Nieuwenhuis only confirmed the good level he has been showing throughout the year, which also places him among the favorites to be fighting for victory in this race.

Michael Vanthourenhout did not have his day in Tabor, but he is always a contender, just as cyclists like Toon Aerts, Niels Vandeputte, or Pim Ronhaar faded in the first Cyclocross World Cup event.
The level of the top 15 in the current cyclocross scene is so high that practically anyone who has a slightly better day than the others can be fighting for victory. A ranking that in Tabor closed with Felipe Orts, who, however, will not participate in the French event, something already planned in his schedule to rest a bit and carry out a block of endurance training that allows him to arrive in the best possible shape for the important Christmas races.

In any case, there will be Spanish representation in Flamanville with the presence, once again, of Cantabrian Kevin Suarez. This will be joined by the presence of Javier Zaera and Mario Junquera.
Circuit of the Cyclocross World Cup race in Flamanville
From the fields and continuous zigzags of Tabor, we move to a completely different circuit in Flamanville, in a beautiful setting in a forest next to a small lake. A type of terrain very conducive, especially considering the prevailing humidity in a town located next to the North Sea in the Normandy region, which can lead to mud. Sticky mud, as we have seen on other occasions when the World Cup has used this circuit.

Among the technical difficulties that the cyclists will face, we find a couple of bridges, a section of stairs, and the usual planks, the latter located very close to the finish line, so the ability to jump them could be decisive in the outcome of the race if it comes down to a tight finish on the last lap.
