Specialized opens the urban premium market with the new Vado 3
Specialized has officially presented its new Vado 3 collection, a launch that not only renews one of its most important urban models but also introduces a new concept within the e-bike market. The brand speaks of a Premium Active category, a proposal aimed at users looking for real performance, technological integration, and a more sophisticated daily use experience.
The Specialized Vado 3 takes urban e-biking to a new level
The Vado 3 carries on the legacy of the Turbo S from 2012, the model that marked the beginning of the SuperNatural Power philosophy at the brand. Now, that foundation evolves with a deeper integration between power, electronics, and dynamic behavior, in a bike that aims to go beyond urban transportation.

An urban e-bike with e-MTB DNA
One of the key points of the new Vado 3 is the direct incorporation of technology from the Turbo Levo. Specialized transfers that approach to urban use with assistance that aims to be as natural as possible, both in power delivery and effort management.

The electrical system revolves around the Specialized 3.1 motor with 810 W and 105 Nm of torque, accompanied by a built-in 840 Wh battery that allows for ranges of up to 150 km. On paper, figures typical of a next-generation e-MTB, but adapted for much broader use.

This combination translates into a progressive and predictable assistance, designed for quick city commutes, but also for longer routes or even off-road excursions in the case of the EVO versions.
The model is structured into two main lines, with clearly distinct approaches. On one hand, the conventional Vado 3 focuses on efficiency and simplicity. It is designed for quick urban use, with agile behavior and very refined assistance. It is the most direct option for those looking for a functional e-bike, but with a high technological level.

On the other hand, the Vado 3 EVO expands the range of use. It introduces greater capacity, more comfort, and a more versatile orientation, with wider tires and superior suspension travel that allow for leaving the urban environment with more guarantees.

Total integration and new safety features
One of the most worked aspects in this new generation is the technological integration. Specialized not only seeks to improve performance but also the complete user experience.

Among the most notable innovations is the keyless digital locking system, along with the integration of Apple Find My. This system allows for locating the bike at any time and adds an extra layer of security against theft.
Additionally, it features a handlebar and stem fully integrated with a 2.2-inch touchscreen and Quad Lock mount with wireless charging for the phone, reinforcing the idea of a connected bike ready for daily use.

Geometry, comfort, and practical focus
Beyond the electrical system, the Vado 3 maintains a very clear focus on comfort and usability. The geometry is optimized for prolonged use, with Body Geometry components and suspension tuned by the Ride Dynamics team.

In the higher models, elements such as Garmin radar for vehicle detection, high-power integrated lighting, and a cargo rack with high load capacity are also incorporated, reinforcing its role as a real alternative to the car in many scenarios.

With the Vado 3, Specialized redefines its positioning within the urban segment. The brand bets on an e-bike that combines high-level power, total integration, and a user experience closer to that of an e-MTB than to that of a traditional urban bike.
The result is a proposal clearly aimed at demanding users, who seek more than mobility and want a versatile, technological tool capable of adapting to any scenario.
