After some years in which their performance was not among the best in the championship, in the last 2 seasons the Specialized Factory Racing has managed to be one of the most consistent and regular teams on the podium. In the last XCO World Cup in Lake Placid, they won all the Elite tests and did so with the new Specialized Epic 8.
Specialized Factory Racing wins all Elite races in Lake Placid with the new Epic 8
The Specialized Factory Racing has managed to reinvent itself to once again occupy a place among the most successful teams in the XCO World Cup. The team's latest signings turned out to be very successful and currently some of the cyclists who are performing the best in the last 2 seasons are in their ranks.
Practically all its members (Victor Koretzky, Christopher Blevins, Martín Vidaurre, Sina Frei, Haley Batten, and Laura Stigger) have won at least one of the XCC/XCO World Cup tests in 2024 and in the case of Victor Koretzky, the recent XCC World Champion and silver medalist at the Olympics and XCO World Championships, and Olympic champion Haley Batten, they are at the peak of their sporting careers and are favorites to win any race they enter.
The superiority of the Specialized Factory Racing has reached its zenith in the XCC/XCO World Cup in Lake Placid where Victor Koretzky won the Short Track and XCO tests in the Elite men's category, while Sina Frei and Laura Stigger won the XCC and XCO tests, respectively, in the Elite women's category.

In addition, all those victories were achieved with the new Epic 8, a bike introduced in 2024, with which Specialized aims to regain its position as a leader in the XCO market and with which, after the good competition results and the good reviews from fans, it seems they are succeeding.
It is worth remembering that the new Specialized Epic 2024 has become lighter, more efficient, and faster thanks to its new frame, geometry, and kinematics with 120mm of travel as the only option. It abandons the BRAIN system in favor of a new system of custom suspensions, Middle Magic, and the automatic Rock Shox Fligth Attendant system.
Although the wide variety of configurations we see within the Specialized Factory Racing are the best example that the Epic 8 is capable of performing at its best with very different setups. For example, both won on Sunday, but Koretzky used the Flight Attendant system completely while Laura Stigger chose to manually control the fork and shock absorber.
