Shimano lowers the jump to Di2: kits and offers for Deore, XT, and XTR
If you have a Shimano 1x12 mechanical group on your MTB and can't stop thinking about the new Di2 electronic version that was presented a few months ago, now that leap can be more economical with the upgrade kits that will allow you to keep your cranks, chain, and cassette. Additionally, there are already some very interesting discounts, which we have listed below.
New Shimano Di2 Upgrade Kits
The new Shimano XTR Di2 group is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the year in MTB. Shimano's electronic shifting for MTB has been anticipated for a long time and has exceeded expectations by offering uncompromising speed and reliability, surpassing what was previously available from the competition. This is complemented by the advantages of a wireless system: a completely clean frame and handlebars, better ergonomics, and 100% precise shifting adjustment with minimal effort.
On the other hand, as always happens, incorporating the latest technology into our MTB comes at a high cost, and that is precisely the main goal of these packs that Shimano has just launched on the market: to lower the entry barrier for electronic shifting in MTB by utilizing many of the components already installed on bikes with 12-speed mechanical drivetrains.

Shimano confirms that the new kits are compatible with their 12-speed cassettes and chains, and as we already knew, it does not require your frame to have any special dropout as is the case with SRAM electronic groups.
Each kit includes:
- A wireless Di2 rear derailleur, which can come in medium cage (GS) or long cage (SGS) versions depending on the range and intended use
- A wireless shifter
- Battery and USB charger for the derailleur
- A 12-speed chain link (Quick Link).
