Shimano GRX RX827: the first wireless GRX groupset for gravel
Shimano revolutionizes its gravel catalog with the new GRX RX827. Its first 1x12 group completely wireless for road handlebars, designed for adventurers seeking total freedom on two wheels.
Shimano GRX RX827: wireless shift comes to gravel with a robust, versatile, and cable-free 1x12 group
The new GRX RX827 is the first specific wireless electronic 1x12 group for gravel from the Japanese brand. A solution designed to adapt to any bike and adventure, without compatibility complications or wiring.
Based on the wireless system introduced in the 2x12 road groups (DURA-ACE, ULTEGRA, 105 Di2), the RX827 goes a step further by combining it with the robustness of the XTR M9200 MTB derailleur, offering impressive response speed and reliability on any terrain.

The new rear derailleur RD-RX827 is not only wireless, but also ultra-resistant, with a low profile, reinforced structure, internal battery, and an innovative automatic recovery function against impacts. Thanks to this technology, the derailleur returns to its position after receiving a blow, without losing the gear. In practice, you can hit a rock and keep pedaling without noticing.
The new RX827 adopts SHIMANO SHADOW ES technology, which improves impact protection with a low-profile design and smooth lines. It also integrates a dual chain stabilization spring system that keeps the transmission silent and prevents the chain from jumping, even on the roughest terrains.
All this is complemented by compatibility with existing wireless Di2 shifters (GRX, DURA-ACE, ULTEGRA, 105, XTR, and DEORE XT), and full integration with 10-51D cassettes and 40 or 42 tooth chainrings, allowing for a fully customizable 1x setup with a wide range.
Shimano also presents a simplified option: the new BL-RX825-L, a hydraulic brake lever without shift buttons, ideal for those who prefer a cleaner setup. For those looking for all the Di2 functions, the ST-RX825 DUAL CONTROL levers offer optimized ergonomics, configurable buttons, and the possibility of adding extra shifters on the handlebar or aerodynamic extensions.
Each Di2 button can be assigned to functions such as shifting, lights, cycle computer, or remote controls, allowing you to adapt the experience to each pedaling style.
New RX180 wheels: uncomplicated reliability
The launch of the GRX RX827 is completed with a new set of wheels: the RX180, sturdy aluminum wheels, ready for tubeless, with a 25mm internal rim width and compatibility with 32 to 50mm tires. The rear hub with a ratchet system allows for switching between HG and MICRO SPLINE bodies, expanding compatibility with Shimano's single and double chainring transmissions.
With this release, Shimano offers a complete, modular, and robust ecosystem for modern gravel riding. You can now check out the full group on the brand's official website.
