With just a few days left until the start of the Paris Olympics, many cycling federations, such as Italy, USA, Switzerland, Czech Republic, and Belgium, have scheduled their XCO Championships for this weekend. Events that, following Switzerland's or Spain's last week, have crowned a new batch of national champions.

Among them are standout cyclists who have defended their title, such as Swiss Jenny Rissveds, Czech Ondrej Cink, Italians Martina Berta and Luca Braidot, Belgian Pier de Froidmont, and Estonian Janika Loiv. But also new promises like Americans Bjorm Riley and Kelsey Urban, both elite champions for the first time after having achieved it in the U23 category in 2022 and 2019 respectively.
