Pidcock will link Arctic Race, Vuelta and two World Championships in a non-stop end of the year
Tom Pidcock will return to road racing on August 7th with his participation in the Arctic Race of Norway. This four-stage race will serve as part of his final preparation for the Vuelta a España and a second half of the season in which he will still compete in 2 World Championships.
Pidcock's end-of-season calendar includes the Arctic Race, Vuelta a España, and 2 World Championships
Pidcock has been away from the road since his participation in the Giro d'Italia, where he finished 16th. During this break, he has excelled in mountain biking, becoming the European XCO champion in Portugal and winning the XCO World Cup in Andorra, where he usually resides.
Now, Kurt Bogaerts, his coach at Q36.5, explained how his final half of the season will be in statements to Cycling Weekly:
"It's always good to test the legs before a big tour. Also, for Tom, it's very stimulating to race in new places. We chose the Arctic Race because it's a test we hadn't done before and we had heard very good references about it."

Tips for beating the heat on your bike
The choice of Norway prevailed over other options such as the Tour de l'Ain or the Vuelta a Burgos, and is part of an end-of-season strategy that includes the Vuelta a España, the Road World Championships in Rwanda, several Italian classics, and the Gravel World Championship in the Netherlands.
The coach also highlighted the benefits of the temporary switch to mountain biking, which has reinforced both the confidence and physical condition of the British rider: "The European title has given him a lot of confidence for the rest of the season. And the data we have seen in training after the Giro break shows that he is once again in great shape. But the best test will be in the race."
With a packed schedule of goals and meticulous preparation, Tom Pidcock continues to stand out as one of the most versatile and ambitious riders in the international peloton in this second half of 2025.
