The Orbea FOX Enduro Team is ready for gold at the UCI Enduro World Cup

The UCI Enduro World Cup kicks off this weekend, from May 10 to 12, at the Finale Outdoor Region and the Orbea FOX Enduro Team will be there starting the season with the ambitious goal of defending the title won in E-EDR last year and winning in EDR.

The Orbea FOX Enduro Team is one of the most consistent teams in international Enduro. First in the EWS and now in the UCI World Cup, this team is a guarantee of success and spectacle.

"Once again we have a competitive team, which aspires to the highest in the EDR and E-EDR. At a time when the category is struggling, in addition to seeking the best results, we will try to highlight all the effort and work that it takes to be in the elite for the riders, staff, engineers, etc. with the aim of generating more interest in the category.", points out Iñaki Ucin, Sports Marketing Manager at Orbea, just before the team's debut in the World Cup.

Martin Maes, Flo Espiñeira, and Edgar Carballo: a very consistent lineup

The 2024 Orbea FOX Enduro Team lineup will be formed by Martin Maes, Flo Espiñeira, and Edgar Carballo. Edgar and Flo will focus on the E-EDR category, where the latter has the great challenge of not only defending the title won last season but also showing the dominance that led her to win 3 out of the 5 races held. On the other hand, Edgar, recovered from injury, will try to return to the podium and dreams of winning a race again, as he did in 2022. The team continues to bet on Martin Maes for the EDR, who returns stronger and more competitive than ever. After a 2023 with ups and downs, the beginning of this year will be crucial to regain good feelings and regain the confidence that led him to achieve three consecutive podiums in 2022.

The three riders will be supported by a technical team that is already considered a family. Primo? Štrancar will act as Team Manager; mechanics Eneko Prado and Gilles Franck will be in charge of adjusting the bikes perfectly; physio Gregg Combes will keep the athletes at 100% throughout the season, while cameraman Sandro Szukat will be responsible for capturing every detail.

New Orbea Rallon and Orbea Wild: the team's two rockets for 2024

The Orbea Rallon and Orbea Wild will once again be the star mountain bikes of the team. Two Enduro models born for the most demanding competition and one of the top choices for any enthusiast and professional in this discipline. But in 2024, the team's bikes have been updated with very special setups and configurations.

The 2024 Orbea Rallon of the Orbea FOX Enduro Team comes with 170mm of front travel and 167mm rear, as well as updated geometry, necessary changes to face the most demanding circuits. "During the preseason, I have been testing and adjusting to my liking, and I must say that I am very comfortable on it. The mullet setup gives me very good sensations, it feels responsive and very aggressive when the terrain gets tough," pointed out Martin Maes.

On the other hand, the electric Orbea Wild stands out for the stiffness of its frame, its lightness, reactive suspension, and geometry. Together with the power offered by the Bosch CX-R motor, these will be key for Flo and Edgar to gain every second.

Both will mount the new FOX suspensions in the Gold Edition celebrating FOX's 50th anniversary, and both the frame and OQUO wheels have been customized in gold for the inaugural event in Finale Ligure.
