The new TQ HPR60 motor offers up to 350 W of maximum power and 60 Nm of torque, surpassing the previous generation. Its operation is quieter and the assistance is very progressive up to 25 km/h (limitation according to European regulations). Thanks to this system, cyclists can tackle demanding climbs or headwinds without losing the essence of pedaling.
Regarding its autonomy, the Checkpoint+ SL features an internal 360 Wh battery that allows for up to 80 km in Eco mode. For those seeking longer routes, there is the option to add a 160 Wh Range Extender, which discreetly installs on the bottle cage and increases autonomy by an additional 44%.
The frame is made of carbon OCLV Series 500 and adopts the Gravel Endurance geometry, shorter and higher, which improves comfort and control on long rides. It integrates IsoSpeed technology, which filters out terrain irregularities and reduces fatigue. In addition, it accommodates tires up to 50 mm and is compatible with dropper seatposts.
For long outings or bikepacking trips, the Checkpoint+ SL features mounts for Adventure bags and racks, while those seeking even more comfort can opt for the Checkpoint+ SL 7 AXS, equipped as standard with a RockShox Rudy 40 mm suspension fork (except in size XS). The SL 5 and SL 6 AXS models come with a rigid fork for those prioritizing lightness and efficiency.
The electric system is intuitively operated through buttons located on the brake levers, allowing for mode changes without releasing the handlebar. The frame integrates a display on the top tube, which in the SL 5 and SL 6 models is in black and white, while the SL 7 incorporates a new color display. Additionally, the Checkpoint+ SL is compatible with the Trek Central app, which offers functions such as autonomy estimation and motor customization.
