Located in Beaupré, 40 km from Quebec, Mont-Sainte-Anne is synonymous with tradition, technicality, and epicness, and will once again bring together the world's elite XCC and XCO riders to decide the final titles of the year.

The circuit and the weather

Mont-Sainte-Anne is an icon of world mountain biking. Since 1991, it has hosted three World Championships (1998, 2010, and 2019) and is characterized by a technical, demanding, and purely traditional XC course. Riders face rock gardens, endless roots, and muddy sections that can turn every lap into a survival battle, especially if rain appears, as is usual on the Canadian circuit.

The weather forecast for the weekend points to cool temperatures (10-15 °C) and possible intermittent rains, which could further toughen the circuit and favor the more technical riders.

Favorites for victory

After his dominance in Lake Placid, Christopher Blevins (Specialized Factory Racing) arrives at Mont-Sainte-Anne as the top favorite in the men's category. The American, who won both the Short Track and XCO, closed the perfect weekend in front of his home crowd and will seek to repeat victory to end the season on a high note. His teammate Adrien Boichis, second in Lake Placid, and Martín Vidaurre, third and a great performer of the season, complete the trio to beat. Although we cannot forget that it will be the last chance of the year to secure a victory and it would not be surprising if some of those who have been riding fast this season take the win, such as Mathis Azzaro (Origine), Fabio Puntener (SCOTT SRAM), Luca Martin (Cannondale), Simon Andreassen (Orbea), or Charlie Aldridge (Cannondale).

Among the women, all eyes will be on the battle for the overall title between Samara Maxwell (Decathlon Ford Racing Team) and Jenny Rissveds (Canyon CLLCTV XCO). The Swedish rider arrives in great form after a commanding victory in Lake Placid, while the New Zealand rider will defend her points advantage to try to achieve the first overall World Cup title for her country. Also, riders like Evie Richards, Savilia Blunk, or Alessandra Keller, regulars on the podium and with great performance on technical tracks, should not be overlooked.

Overall classification and team ranking

As we mentioned, in the women's category, the overall title is still open and promises an exciting battle between Samara Maxwell and Jenny Rissveds, separated by just a few points after the Lake Placid event. Everything will be decided in Mont-Sainte-Anne, a circuit that historically has favored the most technical and consistent riders.

In the men's category, Christopher Blevins has already secured the overall title after his double victory in the United States.

Mont-Sainte-Anne will also be the last chance for teams to earn points in the UCI team ranking, crucial to stay within the Top 15, which guarantees automatic access to all World Cup events in 2026.
