Monster Energy becomes the main sponsor of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup
Monster Energy will be, starting in 2026, one of the main sponsors of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series, taking on the role of Official Energy Drink of the championship. The multi-year agreement has been announced by Warner Bros. Discovery Sports, the current organizer and promoter of the circuit.

According to the organization's statement, Monster Energy will be present on-site at all 14 venues of the calendar, with activations for the public and greater brand integration both in the race environment and in the broadcasts.
The alliance is supported by the connection that Monster Energy has had with mountain biking through sponsorships of riders such as Sam Hill, Steve Peat, and Brendan Fairclough. In the 2025 season, several riders sponsored by the brand reached the podium of the Downhill World Cup, including Amaury Pierron, Marine Cabirou, Loris Vergier, Luca Shaw, Thibaut Dapréla, and Troy Brosnan.

Chris Ball, Vice President of Cycling Events at Warner Bros. Discovery Sports, has stated that the arrival of Monster Energy as the main partner "is a testament to the work and ambition of the project since we took over the organization of the World Series," and has indicated that the brand is preparing specific plans to elevate the spectacle both on and off the circuit.
From Monster Energy, its marketing director, Daniel McHugh, has highlighted that MTB "represents the pinnacle of progression and excitement within cycling," while Cody Dresser, Vice President of Action Sports, has emphasized that fans can expect a strengthened presence throughout the entire 2026 season, with activations designed to highlight the riders and the culture of the sport.
Aside from the statement, this news seems to be a definitive step to leave behind Red Bull, which until a few years ago was the main partner of the MTB World Cup and was directly responsible for broadcasting the competition until Warner Bros. Discovery Sports joined the UCI in 2023.
The 2026 MTB World Cup Calendar will kick off on May 1 in South Korea, in a historic event that will mark the return of the MTB World Cup to the Asian continent 25 years later.
