LOOK launches the first range of pedals specifically designed for gravel
LOOK Cycle has introduced a new family of pedals specifically developed for gravel, a move with which the French brand aims to go beyond the usual practice in the sector, which until now had adapted cross-country MTB pedals for this type of bike. The new range has been conceived as a complete ecosystem that covers everything from high-level competition to bikepacking and adventure routes, always maintaining compatibility with the SPD standard.
LOOK breaks into gravel with a complete range of pedals designed specifically for this discipline
The launch represents a shift in focus from traditional off-road designs. According to the brand, these pedals have been developed with current gravel bike geometries and the specific demands of this discipline in mind, which combines long distances, pedaling efficiency, and the ability to tackle changing terrains.

X-One-G: a new model designed for gravel racing
The core of this new range is the X-One-G family, a model conceived specifically for competition performance. LOOK has sought to combine the power transfer characteristic of a road pedal with the durability and ease of disengagement of an off-road system.

The design allows for a weight reduction of 50 grams per pair compared to traditional systems, while maintaining the necessary robustness for gravel paths. This model has been tested in competition by cyclists such as Simon Pellaud and Russell Finsterwald.
Within this family, two versions are offered:
X-One-GTI
- 53 mm titanium axle
- Support surface of 650 mm²
- Weight: 120 g
X-One-G Max
- Machined aluminum body
- Chromoly axle
- Weight: 145 g
Russell Finsterwald himself explains that this pedal “combines the efficiency of a road pedal with the control and ease of disengagement of an MTB pedal,” also highlighting its ability to shed mud thanks to a very minimalist design.
X-Track: the versatile option
LOOK has also repositioned its well-known X-Track range within this new gravel ecosystem. This model remains the most versatile alternative for those looking for a double-sided automatic pedal compatible with SPD.

According to the brand, approximately 90% of cyclists looking for a versatile system opt for this type of pedal, partly due to its ease of engagement and a contact surface of 515 mm², designed to balance power transfer and control on mixed terrains.
X-Venture: pedals for bikepacking and adventure
The third pillar of the new range is X-Venture, a series aimed at bikepacking and cyclists who combine technical sections with long pedaling days.
With this line, LOOK replaces its previous “Trekking” category with a design more in line with current adventure bikes. The new pedals eliminate the bulky reflectors of traditional models and adopt a cleaner, more aerodynamic profile.

This model is available in two versions:
X-Venture+
- Premium aluminum body
- Width: 77 mm
- Integrated pins for better grip
- Weight: 190 g
X-Venture
- Composite body
- Width: 84 mm
- Designed for stable support on long routes
- Weight: 200 g
