"It's not work, it's part of our passion": a brand like Orbea is much more than designing and selling bicycles
The series Beyond the Tapes returns with its fifth episode, "Building the Orbea DNA". An installment that goes beyond a simple race summary to delve into the brand's philosophy and show how, over the years, it has forged its own DNA that permeates every mountain bike competition in which it participates.
The essence of Orbea, something difficult to describe but well perceived in this episode
For Orbea, cycling is not limited to designing and selling bicycles. It is a connection with the user that encompasses a whole experience, where competition plays a key role as a testing laboratory. In top-level scenarios, such as the World Cups, the brand subjects its models and innovations to the real demands of competition, with the aim of offering the best possible product to the end cyclist.
This fourth installment of the documentary focuses on two emblematic events of the season: Val di Sole (Italy) and Pal Arinsal (Andorra). The episode offers privileged access to the day-to-day life of the Orbea Fox Factory Team, its technical team, and its riders, but also opens the door to the Orbea-FMD Racing Team, the brand's downhill squad. Behind the scenes, the video reveals some interesting details that make a difference in performance, such as the "cooking" of each chain to make it as fast as possible.

In the sporting aspect, Val di Sole resulted in Jennifer Jackson's best performance, finishing sixth in XCO. The Canadian repeated the position in Andorra, a special event for Orbea due to its proximity to the brand's headquarters in Mallabia.
