"It is, by far, the most comfortable saddle I have ever tried": Trek presents its first 3D saddles under the AirLoom technology
Trek Bicycle has presented the new generation of Aeolus saddles, which debut the innovative 3D technology that the brand calls AirLoom. Tested by the Lidl-Trek and Trek Factory Racing-Pirelli XC teams, these saddles are designed to offer a new dimension of comfort without sacrificing performance, with options tailored to all types of cyclists and budgets.
New 3D Trek saddles with AirLoom technology
The heart of the new line is the AirLoom technology, a 3D printed matrix that strategically combines support and flexibility. It provides stable reinforcement under the sit bones and greater adaptability in soft tissue areas, reducing friction, relieving pressure, and eliminating the need for traditional foam. This way, the saddle follows the natural movement of the cyclist and prevents the usual chafing on long rides or demanding competitions.
American Riley Amos (Trek Factory Racing-Pirelli XC) sums it up succinctly: “It is by far the most comfortable saddle I have ever tried”.

In addition to the reticular structure, the new Aeolus saddles have updated their design based on feedback from professional cyclists and pressure mapping studies. Among the added improvements are their narrower nose, to reduce friction, a lightened transition zone, which reduces thigh rubbing, and an expanded upper curvature, which promotes a more stable aerodynamic posture.
