Geraint Thomas says goodbye to cycling and you can win a Pinarello
The last British winner of the Tour de France, Welshman Geraint Thomas, begins today his final race as a professional cyclist in the Tour of Great Britain, the home race where the British public, who usually fill the roads along the route in large numbers and will bid farewell to the INEOS Grenadiers cyclist as he deserves.

Geraint Thomas' last dance kicks off in the Tour of Great Britain
As he announced a few months ago, Geraint Thomas is ending his successful career in the Tour of Great Britain, his dream farewell, in front of his audience. The last British winner of the Tour de France in 2018 and the last representative of that legendary Team Sky that dominated cycling in the 2010s with an iron fist.
Despite the most important being the Tour de France, his palmarès includes 25 victories including Paris-Nice, Tour de Suisse, Critérium du Dauphiné which preceded his Tour victory, Romandie, Tour of the Alps, and the thorn in his side of the 2023 Giro d'Italia that slipped away from him in the penultimate stage time trial where Primoz Roglic snatched the pink jersey from his grasp.

A Geraint Thomas who won't have to worry about his professional future as the return of Dave Brailsford to lead INEOS Grenadiers has reserved a management position for him in the team and, as Brailsford himself has confessed in some interviews, it will only be the first step towards more important positions in the sports structure of INEOS.
For now, the Welshman still thinks, for one more week, as a cyclist and his only goal in the Tour of Great Britain will be to enjoy the adulation of his fans. A final race that he has also used to raise funds for his charitable foundation Geraint Thomas Cycling Trust, which aims to promote cycling among young people and has set a goal for 2028 for 5000 children to use the bike regularly.

To raise funds to help achieve his goals, the foundation has created a raffle, where tickets can be purchased through the foundation's website for just over 5 euros and, in addition to two pairs of SunGod sunglasses, a pair of Quoc shoes, a Kask helmet in the colors of INEOS Grenadiers, the grand prize will be a brand new Pinarello F-Series bike.
