David Valero and Marta Cano are proclaimed champions of Spain in Short Track 2025
The Spanish XCO/XCC/XCR Mountain Bike Championship experienced an intense day on Saturday at the David Valero circuit in Baza, marked by memorable performances from three individuals: David Valero, Marta Cano, and Benjamín Noval.
Benjamín Noval achieves a historic comeback in the junior race
The competition started at 9:00 with the XCO race for the junior male category, where Asturian Benjamín Noval became the absolute protagonist. Despite starting in last position in a grid with 74 riders, the current Spanish cyclocross and road champion showed an exceptional level.
Andalusian Guillermo Parrado set a high pace from the start and rode solo for a good part of the race, but Noval gradually climbed up the ranks with spectacular times. With three kilometers to go, the MMR cyclist caught up to Parrado and sprinted towards an epic victory.
