Aluminum Aero, this is the new Standert Kreissäge RS

Aluminum seems to have been relegated to a second level in cycling, but Standert resists at the highest level. The new generation of the Kreissäge RS model, an aluminum icon from the Berlin brand, is renewed with a clear aerodynamic orientation, without losing its essence: performance, style, and competitive character.

Standert updates its Kreissäge RS: more aerodynamic, larger tire clearance, and competitive spirit

The redesign of the Kreissäge RS has passed through the virtual CFD tunnel (Computational Fluid Dynamics), where Standert has modeled new tube profiles to reduce wind resistance. The most notable changes are in the head tube, now shaped like an hourglass, as well as in the top tube, which adopts a sloping design, and in the rear stays, all with the aim of saving watts without sacrificing stiffness.

The total integration of the wiring and the incorporation of internal bearings in the steering reinforce its clean aesthetic and aerodynamic functionality. Despite the changes, the Kreissäge RS maintains its classic and recognizable silhouette.

As in its previous version, the frame is handmade in Italy by the Unilever Telai team, using custom scandium tubes from Dedacciai. This material has been selected for its excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio.

The Kreissäge RS maintains its competition geometry with compact triangles that favor stiffness and a long and low position on the bike. In size 54, the stack is 549 mm and the reach is 387 mm, with 410 mm stays, contributing to its maneuverability and reactivity in races.

Thinking about versatility and current standards, the frame maintains the T47 threaded bottom bracket and adopts the UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger). In addition, the new Kreissäge RS increases tire clearance up to 35 mm, allowing the use of wider tires and tubeless configurations with generously sized internal profile rims.

Models and prices

Standert offers various assembly configurations for the Kreissäge RS, including Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 and Ultegra Di2 electronic groups, as well as SRAM Red AXS and Force AXS. The available wheels are the DT Swiss ARC 1400 or Scope models, while the cockpit can be the Polymer Sculpture or Obelisk carbon, or the Lucky Cat set from the brand.

  • Complete bike price (Shimano Ultegra Di2 + DT Swiss ARC 1400 + Lucky Cat cockpit): €6,299

With this evolution, Standert demonstrates that a metal bike can compete with carbon dominance. You can find more information on the brand's official website.
